Also I'm not just specifically picking on Shia LaBitch and Megan Fox. Shia La-whatever is a decent actor in a few movies. Disturbia, I think it was. And I remember liking him in Holes when I was younger. BUT! [que rage from fanboys] I don't think Megan Fox is that hot.

That's even an understatement, it's everything wrong with this world and what the people in it find entertaining. Every time the theater erupted in laughter over the same canned joke we've all heard before, I crossed my fingers and just prayed for the death of my species.. Talk about elitist. You're one to talk, ha. XD Why not? how many movies have amazing fights for no apparent or reason, or a shitty one at that, and still sum up to be great movies. Or how many movies have pure plot with no fighting at all and are brilliant to say the least. You do realize that other people calling movies great has no bearing on whether or not good action is mutually exclusive with good plot, right? Since, even if they find the plot bad they can still find the movie good due to action, or vice-versa. That doesn't give us any indication on whether or not it's possible to have good plot with good action. Something being heavily action-oriented does not mean it cannot have a good plot. There is no logical dichotomy between the two. If it's mutually exclusive then that means it's impossible to have good action and good plot, and from what I know of my favorite manga called Berserk, it's not impossible to have good action and good plot. Piech complaining about the plot, and then Jiruga responding with "it's Michael Bay, what did you expect?" implies it's wrong to complain about plot when someone is mainly doing it for the action. This only holds true if it's impossible to have good action AND plot at the same time. IT'S NOT.Fair enough, you go to movies to feed your brain, I prefer epic bad ass fights, which this movie had; No, I don't go to movies to gain knowledge. I go for entertainment. Same fucking reason you do. It's just that I'm more swayed by certain plot developments than just "epic robo-action!". Both forms of entertainment (action, plot), one higher preferred. Unlike piech, though, I don't think this makes me superior. It's a taste, big deal. I'm not as emotionally swayed by my tastes as most others are. The plot and action(in a movie) can be mutually exclusive and can still be considered a good movie. The plot and action being mutually exclusive means that you HAVE to have one or the other, and that it can NEVER be both. It has nothing to do with you watching and liking a movie that has no plot and has action. I never said liking a movie (considering it good) was mutually exclusive with it having only plot, or only action. Not once did I type that. sometimes I like to go to a movie see the characters I know and watch them fight is that so much to ask before someone judges it for being shitty(cause there are movies out there that have shitty action, shitty plot. and shitty acting and were sitting here judging a movie that at least meets one of the criteria to be a good movie which is more than I can say for most ). I mean you may like more movies with plot and feeling and sure who doesn't I love a good plot (example Schindler list) but as ive stated a 100 times a Micheal bay movie is a Micheal bay movie. were talking about the guy who made pearl harbor lol you cant expect great plot every time but you can always expect huge explosions, tits and ass And once again, plot is NOT mutually exclusive with action. EVER. It's ALWAYS possible to have BOTH plot and action. ALWAYS. Michael Bay may have a changing experience and suddenly change up the plot, who the hell knows? No one. Is it too much to have your own subjective standards and tastes and be able to express them? Piech prefers plot, it didn't have any so it sucks. No amount of "well, Michael Bay always does actions movies" will change that, because it's always possible that he might throw some plot in there. Since plots not mutually exclusive with action. ------------------------------------------------------------ plus you guys don't even know the plot of the second movie without probably looking it up (I know for a fact peach doesn't lol) so how can you say the plots shit if you have no quotes or examples) but w/e doesnt matter to me if you dislike this movie cause im gonna keep fist pumping it hardcore just for the simple fact of optimus final fight in the movie This is a different situation altogether. If that's true, and this is just a troll OP, then yeah. But I wasn't really arguing that the plot sucks, since that's subjective and a fruitless endeavor. I wouldn't argue about your tastes vs. mine seriously. I was arguing an objective fact; That plot and action are not, and never will be, mutually exclusive. Agreeing with the OP does not require that I watch the movie, it only requires that I realize there's nothing wrong with wanting good plot to accompany good action. That's what the main point was. Me at first thinking the OP was talking about part 2 instead of 3 really wouldn't change my post all that much, and is therefore mostly irrelevant.

After all this topic is a troll topic anyway now if you think the movie is shit then give me more then some generalized answer like the actors are shitty because there shitty Imo the greatest movies of all time have plot, characters and whatever genre they are at its fullest. So 2 me if a movie (with today standards) meets one of my personal criteras it at leasts meets above the level of shitty making it good in my eyes now for. the movie in question to me makes atleast 2 of my personal critera

I'd definitely agree that if this was a troll topic from the start, you were right no matter what you said. And so was she. That's the point of trollin.
And I also agree that it is possible for the action to make up for the plot in movies....... for other people.... including yourself and Mundus, obviously.
@ronnie,
The longest a debate-post has ever taken me is an hour at the most. Sometimes it only takes 10 minutes. On average it's nearing 20. I'm referring to the "big" posts with lots of quotes, here.
And I love my sig, not just the boobs, either. <3
Cool that you at least like them, though, I guess.

It wasn't the worlds best movie, but its fun to watch. I mean if it caused you laughter (even if it was unintended), it still brought entertainment, right?
I enjoyed it, even though i felt like i needed to read a scientific thesis afterwards.

Okay the role of forum asshole is already taken. It's all I have since Dawg X is already the tolken black guy. Find your own stick. Now that that's been said, I also enjoyed the transformer movies, but I never use to be a fan of transformers as a kid. I'm still pissed that they replaced Megan Fox. I understand that the show must go on, but she seemed almost too important to continue the series without her. My only complaint is that the last movie was almost TOO damn long. I remember looking at my watch multiple times, wondering when it was going to end. Does that make it a terrible movie? No. I felt as if I definately got my money's worth, and was surprised, because most movies rush to end, but transformer took its sweet sweet time. All the hate for this moview is sorta undeserved if you'd ask me. There's a lot worse to hate on...like that Daredevil movie or any of John Cena's movies.
