I'm only 17 minutes in and who knows what the fuck I missed. But basically they have the bill, and they are amending it the fuck up so it doesn't actually censor everything on the entire fucking internet, but is more for cracking down on the pirates.
HOWEVER, the problem is that if they define it a certain way so it doesn't censor FUCKING EVERYTHING, people may find loopholes, etc. etc.
A lot of them are acting pretty retarded right now and taking way more time than they need saying a bunch of pointless bull, but hey, that's politics.
Once again, I've only been following it for 17 minutes.
Either way, from what I'm hearing....piracy is going to be fucked in the ass.

I suddenly am glad I never took up pirating. If it prevents me from downloading craptons of music from the internet, I'll be very pissed.
EDIT: I'd watch it, but I don't have the time, at the moment.

The one about IP addresses that you're referring to was about how they WILL NOT be able to censor and convict criminally based on IP addresses.
It DID NOT pass. Meaning they WILL do such a thing.
Anyway, they are still working on amendments. The only thing that interests me is the big final bill. So I'll just quit this until the final ruling. If it does pass, I'll be gone from the interwebz for a while (since piracy will be fucked if it does). It would be retarded for me to stay for now.

You said at the beginning you wouldn't be leaving this website until the very end.

You said at the beginning you wouldn't be leaving this website until the very end. It's not like I don't care about my word, or I was lying. It's just that I wasn't smart enough to take this into account or have a plan for this. Not to mention it should only be temporary. Like a vay-kay. meh even if it passes i think it will take years for it to implement due to bureaucracy and shit like that I wouldn't know since I'm not well-versed in politics. Despite saying this: A lot of them are acting pretty retarded right now and taking way more time than they need saying a bunch of pointless bull, but hey, that's politics. I was obviously just biased and pissed.

And then I start hating on the government. Dont you already hate the government? I could be worse. Currently, it's not as bad as it'll get after all my online entertainment is demolished.

"The House Judiciary Committee adjourned on the second day and will resume at the 'earliest practical day that Congress is in session', according to Lamar Smith"
-Wikipedia.
Apparently they are waiting till winter break is over.
