It's unlikely he'd die, considering Kurono's /like/ the last hope for humanity. Besides, in what anime does the protagonist stay dead before the main antagonist is defeated/mortally wounded? Very "unlikely" that he'd die, I agree. Going by the norms of manga. Though, Oku did specifically say he tries to avoid going by the norms. Besides, unlikelihood has to do with probability. You can't use probability on a work of fiction. The variables are too vague. Really, it comes down to the author: he/she can put whatever the fuck they feel like. That's the only true variable of probability you have. Death Note. But isn't the signature picture of her nice? She's never really been my type. But it's a pretty cool picture of her. I know off topic here but I always pictured Death Note as a matter of preference. I think Light/Kira was the protagonist and L/Mello(M)/Near(N) as the antagonist. Then again that's just me. Still I believe Kurono will survive and be with Tae. Do I like it? No. Chances are it will happen.

Whether or not they are good or evil is the preference. As to who the protagonist/antagonist are, that's actually clearly defined and really shouldn't be too arguable unless there are multiple well-developed "protagonists" and "antagonists" in one. That's when it can become confusing as to who the main protagonist/antagonist is. And I agree. I also think Light is the protagonist. <3

Whatever you do, don't watch the English dub. Death Note has a fucking awesome English dub. It's better than the sub in so many ways. For the full Death Note experience I'd just read the manga though.

It isn't a matter of preference. Light is the protagonist no matter how you look at it and L/M/N are the antagonists. You don't have to be right or good to be a protagonist and you don't have to be wrong or evil to be an antagonist.

I remember Light sounding like a congested, fat, angry, nerd when I saw an episode a long time ago on adult swim. However, I just looked it up again and he sounds pretty decent. In the first episode, at least. It's possible that as it went on they tried to make his voice more "crazy" and that's when I heard the angry nerd voice. Regardless, that shit's not better than the Japanese dub. The Japanese voices just sound manly and awesome as fuck. Like their balls dropped at the age of fucking 4.

Reading this with the picture of Boxxy and the personal text right beside it made me laugh like a motherfucker.
