Kyle nodded to Shez before he left to get changed. That went well. I think.
He noticed Eddie nodding at him. He took a big breath and let it out slowly. Right. He could do this "talking to people" thing. "I'm Kyle. Nice to meet you, despite the circumstances." He waved vaguely at Ichirou and Takao. "Ichirou and Takeo have been through this situation more than any of us. They taught me how to survive last time, so everyone should listen to them." He shrugged, embarrassed. He spoke as loud as he could manage, which wasn't much. "Sorry to put you guys on the spot like that, but, uh, it looks like you're better at taking charge than I am, at the very least. Um...I guess I can answer questions, too. I've only done this once before, but...yeah. I know how the weapons work."
Unfortunately, Kyle could tell as he talked that he didn't come across as a very tough or confident person. As usual. Would anyone listen to him? He doubted he'd be taken seriously.

Eddie listened as Kyle introduced himself. The guy didn't seem very confident, and he didn't look like he'd be much good in a fight, but hell, Eddie wasn't the most confident of people either, and until that tramp attacked him, he'd never even been in a real fight himself, so he didn't hold it against him. And besides, Kyle seemed like a good guy.
'Nice to meet you too,' he replied with a smile. Any reassurance was welcome to Eddie; even as little as saying "hi" put him more at ease.
He looked over Ichirou and Takao as Kyle mentioned them. They certainly looked amongst the toughest there, despite Takao being little more than a kid. Although he was prepared to go along this whole set-up and do just what they said, some part of his bran still couldn't accept what was going on.

Jean's sword had been plucked from his fingers by thin air. Then crushed in the other man's hand. He blinked, unsure of what just occurred. He wanted to lunge at the guy and start punching him in the face. No, that would be stupid. Straining to keep his voice calm, the Fox said (in Japanese), "You're going to replace that blade, aren't you, Ichirou?" One of his hands raised, fiddling with the band of his eyepatch; something done when he was agitated or forcing himself to stay placid.
Aside from the sudden transportation and having been resurrected, Jean was curious about the whole "fighting" thing and the black ball called "Gantz." What were they fighting? And how was he still alive..? It seemed as if the Fox cheated death another time. And then, the whole suit thing. Sure, it would match with the suit he was already wearing, but it seemed as if he'd have to take his suit off to put on the other.

"Hey sorry for ignoring you. I had to get these people up to date," Ichirou said to Takao. "Yeah the house is repaired and dads things have been pretty much situated. We're out of the woods and have been left with a ton of money."Jean said something to Ichirou about replacing the sword. Ichi raised an eyebrow at Jean and smiled a bit. "Most likely no. Im not going to replace it. But you can help yourself to a G-Sword," he replied calmly. Suddenly, the black sphere began to make noises. The song started with a heavy drum solo then suddenly: We are Fighting Dreamers Takami wo mezashite Fighting Dreamers Narifuri kamawazu Fighting Dreamers Shinjiru ga mama ni Oli Oli Oli Oh-! Just go my way!
Ichirous' jaw dropped for a few seconds as the music continued on for about another minute before being cut off. Seriously, Gantz? Seriously!? the psychic yelled in his head. Who wouldn't know where the hell that song was popularized by. yOUR liveZ h@v3 en&3D. HoW u l!v3 YOUR n3w liVeZ is ENTIRELY uP 2 M3. Th@tz TH3 w@Y t3H K00ki3 cRu/\/\Bl3Z.
The screen dimmed then more words were spelled out across the black surface: y0u W!(( n0W G0 k!11 tH!Z M@N FL@M3$0UL A|!3N Characteristics: Short stature, short temper, huge ego, potty mouth, cruel Likes: Arson, bullying, looking down on others, tough guys Dislikes: Annoying weaklings Quote: “You f***ing trash!" Gantz racks didn't shoot open. Instead it opened halfway and got jammed on its tracks. It closed then tried to open again only for it to jam again. The lights turned off then flickered on slowly. The ball tried one more time but it jammed again. "Stupid piece of shit," Ichirou said. He walked up to the ball and slammed his left foot against the screen. The ball shot open fully, revealing the racks of weapons and suitcases in the back as well as the door beside the ball unlocking. Even when the situation was grim, and the ever looming situation of death lingered, Takao had to seriously smile and even chuckle when the ball began to play the song. What a concept, something so shounen-y being played in such a dark scenario. To top it all off, the ball then jammed and couldn't open properly. Since when was this comedy reel of the ball?
Takao began to examine the alien. The little bastard looked like he could pack a punch, and that bothered him. Having a flashback to the chibi aliens, he shuddered. He wasn't gonna let those midgets get the best of him this time.

'Naruto?' said Eddie aloud as the song played, unable to keep the excitement out of his voice. That song always got him juiced up. He couldn't help it, part of him was still just a big kid.
Slowly and carefully he read the message the ball displayed. 'Fuck that, my life ain't over yet,' was what he flippantly thought to himself.
Next the ball told them to go kill a little creature that looked like he had a bad attitude. Eddie didn't know what to think of that. He didn't much like the idea of killing, if that's really what they had to do. And anyway, it's not like the ball gave them any useful information about their target.
Eventually the ball managed to open itself, but not without difficulty and a little help from Ichirou. Eddie immediately walked over to it to look for a suit to wear. On either side were two racks of weapons like the ones some of the others were carrying. There looked to be plenty to go around so for now he kept looking for the suits. Then he spotted the stack of briefcases on the back rack. He headed round to it and crouched down to examine them. That was when he spotted the naked dude hooked up to the inside of the ball. Eddie did a double-take and stared for a moment. Then he made a mental note not to worry about it right now and to add that to the list of questions for later.
His attention returned back to the cases, Eddie noticed with shock that one of them had his name on it! He didn't know whether to be worried by the fact that this all seemed to be set up in advance or reassured by the fact that there was one specifically for him. 'Oh well, another question added to the list,' he thought resignedly as he stood up, taking the case with him.
'I'm gonna go change,' he said to the others, and headed out into the corridor. There he opened his case and, gratifyingly, found a suit inside. He pulled off his coat, shoes, socks and jeans. Then he tried pulling the lower part of his suit on. It fit perfectly, until he tried to get it over his boxers, so he quickly pulled them off and tried again. This time it slipped up with ease. Next he took off his top and pulled on the torso part. Clipping the two halves together, he started on the other pieces of the suit.

This Eddie guy seemed pretty friendly too. Kyle smiled. If only he could have made so many friends in Japan without getting caught up in an alien bloodsport.
When Eddie left to change, Kyle took another look at the man inside of the black ball. This guy was possibly the biggest mystery in this whole situation. Did he control the ball? Or was the ball run by an AI or something, with the man serving another purpose. Kyle thought of the human batteries in the Matrix movies, but quickly dismissed the idea. People would be an extremely inefficient power source.
Kyle examined the man closely. There was something weird about his ear, but he couldn't put his finger on it.
So he put his finger in it.
It would have seemed stupid if nothing happened, but Kyle just had a hunch he couldn't explain. He was vindicated by a soft click as his pinky finger triggered some kind of switch in the man's head. However, it didn't seem to actually do anything.
Frustrated, Kyle asked what he thought was a rhetorical question while he held down the switch.
"Can't you just tell us something for once instead of making us figure out everything ourselves?"

Though he had never been one for conversation, Yuuta, much like many of the other inhabitants of the room, apparently, was intent on asking a few questions. However, as he realized that he could escape any form of ridicule or social embarrassment by simply staying quiet and letting everyone else handle the question-asking, school did that to you, he figure it was probably the best way to go. Besides, it involved far less thinking and careful consideration of wording so as to sound polite and/or normal. All in all, despite being confused, a little bit nauseous and generally unhappy, Yuuta didn't have much to complain about; at least he wasn't, though he couldn't be sure, in hell or purgatory or anything. For an instant, he wondered if this proved, or disproved any sort of atheistic or agnostic view he had within himself.
He decided all it proved was that skin-tight black suits did not accentuate an individuals' genitals quite as much as he would assume.
Even as he made sure to pay attention and absorb all the new information he found himself revealed to, Yuuta couldn't help but stare at one of their leader's, he assumed he was going to act as their leader because people kept asking him things and he kept answering them, was speaking to. He seemed so....confident, and the fact that he seemed to be holding a massive weapon while everyone else totally wasn't didn't help to make it easier to ignore him. Thankfully, he seemed unaware of Yuuta's sudden interest in him, which in turn lured Yuuta into a false sense of security.
Suddenly, the ball began playing music and kind of flipping out, Yuuta decided to hang back and wait to see what everyone else was doing. It seemed kind of a failsafe method considering how many questions everybody else was asking.

Jean was about to ask what the Hell a G-Sword was as the ball opened and began playing music. This music sucks worse than that rap shit. He thought to himself; the music ended soon after and the image of some weird looking thing popped up on the ball after some text.
After the picture and text faded, the Fox asked Ichirou, "Now what the fuck's that? And same goes for the G-Sword." He wasn't sure what was going on, exactly. Just that he was going to kill some aliens. Aliens existed, apparently...

Shez was putting his leg into the suit when the music began to play. He hurried putting the suit on, and by the time he got back into the main room to view the screen, it had already began to fade and pop open.
Shez was kinda underwhelmed by the fact that there was all this high tech gear yet "Gantz" (what Ichi called the black ball) was kinda....well crappy.
Shez picked up a Y-Gun. He didn't want to use any of the other weapons as he new it would kill. No matter what, Shez didn't think he has it in him to kill something no matter the reason, well excluding his brother and that was self defense, and he reasoned this was to. So he holstered a X-Gun to be safe. He also grabbed his controller out of his box which was his only content's, as he left it last time. He was shown by one of the others it can be used as a map, tracker and to turn invisible.
After the last mission he was briefed on the different weapons and how to use them, so he was now fully aware of what triggers to press to fire a net and to send the enemy away.
Shez noted Kyle doing something so he walked up to him.
"Kyle what did I miss? What's the alien were being sent after tonight?" Shez saw Kyle sticking his finger in to the person in the ball's ear "What in holy hell are you doing?"
Then Kyle asked his rhetorical question.

Having clipped his gloves to the main part of the suit, Eddie pulled on his shoes and attached them too. As he did so, he marvelled at how well they fit him. The fact that this perfectly-fitting costume had apparently been pre-prepared for him was just one more question that bubbled in his brain, and which he tried to put it to the back of his mind until later.
Inside his briefcase was one more piece of equipment, a gizmo of some kind. Eddie took it out, examined it briefly, and realised that it fit neatly on one's wrist. Putting it on, he found it swung neatly into one's grip. He didn't know what it did yet, but it was probably important. Then he began to stuff his own clothes back into the case. As he did so, he thought fleetingly of the weed in the pockets of his jeans, and quietly promised himself a spliff the moment he got home.
Walking back into the room, Eddie placed his case against a wall and dropped his coat (far too large to fit inside) on top. He had thought briefly about taking the coat with him. It was, afterall, a genuine army coat, but in the end he had decided against it; he could move about much more freely without it, and besides, it was pretty weighty.
Eddie went back over to the ball where he found Kyle prodding the guy inside it in the ear. He asked the same question Shez had. 'What are you doing?' Whilst waiting for a response, the young man began to examine weapons from the racks. The first one he picked up had three kinda barrel things on and two triggers. After turning it over in his hands for a few moments, he slotted it into the holster on his right leg. Next he picked up a larger gun, but quickly returned it; it was heavier than he had expected, and he decided that travelling light would be the best option for him, so he picked up another small gun. This one was more rounded, and also had two triggers. On its back was a small screen.
'How do these things work?' he asked the room in general. 'I mean, I guess you pull these triggers to fire, but is there anything else do I need to know about them? Like why do they have two triggers each?'

Ichirou watched as the members of the Osaka team went on their way to prepare for the mission ahead. Jean was starting to annoy Ichirou, his demands and threats were seriously getting old. Ichirou turned to Jean and said, "Look man. Calm yourself. Your threats and demands don't mean shit here and they definitely dont mean shit to me. Just put the goddamn suit on and do as I say."
He turned away from Jean knowing he was being a bit to forceful. Ichirou walked to the side of the ball and opened the door to the monobike room. As always, the G-Sword hilts were lazily scattered over the room. He reached down and picked one up which was just by his right foot and holstered it into his remaining holster.
- Mei
The lone girl had stayed quiet and easily went unnoticed by the men in the room. She had absorbed all of what was spoken by them and came to a decision to atleast grab a suit. She walked around all of them, to the side of the black sphere and to the back. She crouched while making sure no one could see up her skirt and reach for a suitcase. She quickly put it back not recognizing the name on it. Mei reached for another and was glad to see it had her name, well a crude nickname, on it.
Mei stood up and again walked silently around them men. She shuffled into the hallway. Mei looked at the front door and quickly dismissed trying to free herself from the apartment. She began to figure out how to put the suit on.

"Asshole," Jean muttered as Ichirou left the room. The bastard did have a good knowledge of what went on in the room, with the aliens and everything. He gritted his teeth and walked over to the ball, swiping a suitcase that read "The Fox" on it. He wandered into the bathroom and shut the door behind him. He opened the suitcase and began changing out of his suit, so he could put on the skin-tight one.
The Frenchman glanced into the mirror and grimaced, he didn't like how it looked. So, he decided to put his bloodstained business suit over the other. There was a controller left in the case, he noticed. He grabbed it and shoved it in a pocket, then headed back into the room with the ball. "What the Hell's a G-Sword?" He asked one of the others wearing the suits - they'd know what it was.

Kyle looked up at Shez and Eddie, embarrassed. He didn't even think to take his finger off of the switch right away.
"Well, there's a switch in this guy's ear, but it doesn't seem to do anything. I mean, it probably does, but I sure haven't figured it out yet. Uh, as for the guns, Eddie, the top trigger locks onto a target and the bottom fires, so that the shots can home in. If you push both at once, it fires straight ahead without locking on. The screen on the back is like an x-ray. You can shoot through walls and stuff with it. There are swords and bikes in that other room, too."
Kyle realized he was short of breath after saying all of that. He pulled his finger out of the naked man's ear, embarrassed.
"Look guys; I'm planning to keep my head down and play it safe, but that doesn't mean I'm not going to kill. We have to if we're going to survive. If you want to team up, I'd love to. I think it would be smarter than splitting up. But you have to make sure you can stay stealthy and you have to try your best to keep up with me. I've been practicing."
Hey, that last bit almost sounded badass. Kyle knew he couldn't keep that up, especially if he was going to keep on fingering strange ears, but it was nice to feel like a tough guy once in a while.

As Kyle explained how the guns worked, Eddie turned the weapon he was holding over in his hands. It sure didn't look like a real weapon, but if it did work, at least he knew now how to use it. He felt its weight and balance and lightly placed his fingers on the triggers a few times to get a feel for them and how to pull them. He practiced holding it up in one hand trying to hold it steady with his other.
'Thanks, Kyle,' he said with a slight smile, taking his fingers off the triggers and lowering the gun for the moment and looking at his new teammate. 'Teaming up sounds like a good idea. Don't wanna be like those idiots in horror movies that split up the moment anything happens. Shouldn't we all work together?' Eddie finished, his last question addressed not only to Kyle and Shez but to Takao and the others in the room. Not many of them seemed big on talking, though, so he wasn't hopeful for a response.
