Please Note: Most of the rules have been taken from the GANTZ rules, as they cover expansive interests that will arise from this roleplay. Please do not flame me or Ace about this, I have personally asked him myself for it.
Combat:
Modified T1 Rule Set: Semi-Turn Based, No Auto, Text Driven Combat System, which means...
Semi-Turn Based: You and player will go back and forth with offensive/defensive moves. If you miss posting a day, the other character will still have posted, and decisions will be rendered.
No auto: An auto is anything at all that you describe as happening to your opponent/another player. It is each characters job and right to decide on and describe for themselves what happens to them. Mods can only determine what you do as far as you cannot control. (IE if you do get hit in a certain direction a mod can say that you are forced in the direction by the impact of the punch, but a mod cannot switch your intentions or will to do normal actions. The mod also determines death).
Text-Driven: An offensive move will be typed, but you have the opportunity to defend or deal with that situation. The same goes the other way around. The better you type your moves, the better chance you have of success, on top of other factors.
Pm the Mod: For pvp-based or stealth enhanced situations you will be allowed to pm the mod your post. This way the other roleplayers in the room cannot see your move. Possibly giving you an edge in battle. This is optional and the post will be expected to follow the same rules and regulations as any normal post.
Success of actions:
Mods determine the success or failure of an action by answering these question:
1. Is it possible in real physics?
2. Is it possible in this world's physics?
3. Is it possible with your character?
4. Is it possible the way you describe it?
The first two have to be a yes. The third being a no may result in an undesirable action. If the fourth is a no there will be a lot of room for failure. So make sure you don't describe things too vaguely, but don't make them too complicated either.
For three, the physics in this world do allow for movement of objects by mind control. However, you cannot make situations where they above and beyond their respective psychic class.
General:
Stay Active. Your character may die due to inactivity. Mods will post once a day at a regular time. If you know you will be inactive, give permission for someone or the mod to control your character and give the mod a notice. If a character goes inactive for extended period of time (which is decided by the mod) without a notice, the mod may do as he/she sees fit with the character. Most of the times this means a very embarrassing death.
Characters:
1. Create a character according to the character template. Multiple characters are allowed, but only one will be accepted for each individual city piece.
2. If your character is approved it will be moved to the sub-board in each place of the city.
3. The characters who enter battle first will be notified in mod post of who or what they are dealing with.
4. If your character survives a fight, your character may be modified until once again found to be in a fight.
5. If your character dies during a fight, you may create a new character and repeat the same process.
6. Rogue Minds are a position ONLY for those who have been deemed good enough to play one. By deemed, I have the right to restrict the number. The current number of R.Ms is four.
7. Government characters will tossed in onto the playing board occasionally. They will be given to people who prove their worth with a regular citizen.
8. Do not send in 18 Anamenesis for your OCs. There is an application process where I will approve or reject your character. These are stronger persons, but they are not exactly in large numbers. Good roleplayers are granted Anamnesis if they are NOT granted R.Ms. Keep this in mind.
9. All psychic powers must be REAL ones provided through the obligatory links in the character template page.
Posts
1. All In Character posts must be in 3rd person.
2. Keep Out Of Character posts in the mission at a minimum.
3. Be descriptive as possible. Describe setting, sense of direction, detailed action, thoughts. Even something as small as a blink can have an effect. Don't take this too far, however.
4. There is a spell check, use it! Make sure your post is readable and understandable. It makes things hard for the mod to actually figure out what is going on if you don't spell it right.
