Meh, considering I already have the entire Divine Comedy (Longfellow's translation), might be fun to look at the art, but that'll be it. The game itself, though, I think I might get into, even with all the silly controversy surrounding it. Not the first time I've seen something that got a lot of religious flack; just look at Monty Python's Life of Brian, lol.
Though speaking of controversies, it's funny to see nannies getting all bent out of shape over the "Bad Nanny" Trophy/Achievement (the one with the infanticide). It's definitely not the first time gamers have been forced into killing demonic babies; Dead Space had a relatively common Necromorph enemy that were, for the most part, babies, and the first Silent Hill game had, again, common enemies (Grey Children, I think) that were depicted as very young children. I also think Brutal Legend had carriages that would shoot little demonic babies at you, and they could be cut/shot down by the axe or guitar. All of the games I've mentioned are rather popular, or at least well known; makes you wonder how they got under the radar. The only difference between then and now is that you get an award for it.

From what I've heard, Dante's Inferno is a straight up God of War rip-off but you're limited to only 2 weapons which is a BIG detractor in my eyes since I enjoy using different weapons to kick ass. I may eventually check this out but I've had my share of stylized action/adventure games at the moment.
And I just beat Bayonetta so it's gonna be hard to compete with that since it's one of the greatest action games I've ever played! I mean, it might even be better than Ninja Gaiden Black which was, up 'till this point, my favorite stylized action game. Bayonetta just moves so fluidly and her combos are so easy to pull off yet you'll still need to master her moves to actually survive the game... especially her dodge which activates Witch Time. Honestly, this is the most fun I've had with an action/adventure game since Ninja Gaiden.
And Devil May Cry was a good series but it got rather repetitive rather quickly. DMC1 was awesome! DMC2 was... meh. DMC3 was a good try but still not good enough. And DMC4 had good potential but for some reason it doesn't feel right. Maybe it was the fact that you played as Nero instead of Dante, but then again Nero was more fun to play with than Dante!
I still haven't played NG2 (though I bought the game like a month ago) but I played the demo and it was more of the same so I think that's good. But I don't think it'll compare to Bayonetta right now which is why I'm hesitant to play it. So I think I'll wait a couple more months until Bayonetta gets out of my head and then I'll pick it up.
And the God of War games are pretty good too, but somewhat too button-mashy. I prefer going against enemies that are challenging even though there's few of them like in Ninja Gaiden, as opposed to throwing hoards of weak enemies at me like in God of War. Bayonetta has a good balance of both so I like that.

I just beat Bayonetta as well, and it's my most favorite action game evar! So smooth and sensual, yet fierce and fast-paced. Plenty of challenge if you put it on a harder mode, yet still fun. Awesome combos, as well.
I never even played Dante's Inferno, though, aside from the demo. >_<
