I've been enjoying the new Simpsons. They're really weird in a lot of ways, like some new episodes actually give me a feeling of nostalgia. None of the shows in the pool have really made me laugh in years, but I find the Simpsons to be the easiest to watch as it's grown into a strange beast that's just interesting to watch survive.
It's interesting in a way similar to the Fall of Rome or end of Imperialism. You see the Simpsons facing competition (I want to say "attacks") from so many angles in terms of the sheer volume of shows using the same formula, it's age, and it's content, that I would expect to see a hint of the desperation it has to survive by making some almost radical changes, but you don't see that. The Simpsons is being written in such a professional and comfortable way this current season that I can't help but enjoy it. Particularly their shift back into episodes that have little lessons mixed in. Which is a touch I particularly enjoy in watching a show instead of pure unending wackiness throughout the entire episode, what they started doing around 2002 or so.
I've only started watching Simpsons again this year, after not really watching any new episodes since 2003. If I had cable, I'd probably still be watching South Park. I thought Futurama was alright whenever I could catch it. I can't sit through an episode of anything by Seth MacFarlane though, his art style is just so awful in my eyes (Seriously, fuck him and his characters whose eyelids can close from the bottom. That doesn't convey any fucking emotion it's an inhuman expression!) and I'd say that his material can be found in convenient little clips on hulu.
You know've never really looked at the new simpsons that way. But for that matter I've stayed far far away from it because the few times I'd watch it the sheer randomness and unhomerness homer displayed scared me away. I would start watching again.. maybe but really thier storylines and plots are just too.. wrong you can tell they really try hard to be funny.
Faimly guy only reaches me on pop culture refferances. Which they survive on. I know the clips they have are random and totally irreveleant to the story, but it's nice to be sitting in a room full of peaple and then a family guy joke comes up that nobody in the room understands but you. Pretty gratifying. Peter anoiys the living piss out of me though, his stupidy is not cute or funny for the most part.
What I like is quite obvious. The Dog and the baby can talk. And they have very amusing adventures. Which also is funny because I like the Alien and the Fish (God I love that fish) on American Dad too.

Fay: Hey! This forum is pretty dead/not active unfortunately. No one other than myself really logs on anymore, except maybe one or two old members from time to time.

Fay: Note: However many million years it takes for Gantz: O to get released on DVD and subtitled. When it does: make a thread about it.

Fay: Just realized glent may actually be a bot in disguise using the shout box. It didn't spam anywhere else or have any ads on its profile or signature though, so leaving it around should be okay, no idea which new (once in a blue moon) user to trust anymore.

Fay: Haha, that's awesome. Glad another person got to experience the manga. I've been meaning to re-read the manga myself. Now that I'm done with college I can find the time to do that. Also yeah Gantz: O looks pretty cool.

Fay: You can also post/comment on any topic you want it's just no one but myself will probably answer back. If you want to talk about the manga while it's still fresh in your mind or anything about it, I'll oblige you. I was really addicted to Gantz once
