Okay, not really a manga, but that's just Japanese for comics, so whatever.
Anyway, for anyone that likes American comics, you need to read the current run on Green Lantern by Geoff Johns. It is the most incredible thing that DC has out right now, maybe has ever had. The first thing I read was Green Lantern: Secret Origin, the most current retelling of Hal Jordan's origin. Best comics I read in all of 2010.

Ok and I'm trusting you. I'll go to my local comic readers this week and check it out. Secret Origin? Am I looking for anything else.
Also you just gave me an idea to combine comics with the cartoon board and have a Cartoon and comics board.

I'm gonna suggest pretty much all of Geoff John's run on GL, though Secret Origin was actually issues 20 something through 30 something of the main series, and the start of the series is Hal Jordan being brought back to life, collected in Green Lantern: Rebirth, which, while being completely awesome, is really really confusing if you don't know all the stuff that happened to Hal in the 90s.

So just Secret Origin then? Geoff John only did that series?
Sorry. I had some green lantern books in the 90's but I was young and didn't take care of my comics that well. And from that and justice league I know teet teet, very little.

Nah, Geoff Johns has done the entire current Green Lantern series. Up to about 50s in issues now along with the Rebirth mini-series that started all of it. The current run, collected into books so far is,
Rebirth No Fear Revenge of the Green Lanterns Wanted: Hal Jordan The Sinestro Corps War vol. 1 and 2 Rage of the Red Lanterns Agent Orange Blackest Night: Green Lantern And the main mini series, Blackest Night

I remember in justice league there being a planet of Green lanterns. Does the comics showcase that?

Yeah, there's the entire planet Oa filled with different Lanterns. My favorite non-Hal Jordan one is Guy Gardner, 'cause he's such an asshole, but has his redeeming moments. The first few storylines are mostly on Earth, but starting with the Sinestro Corps War, and for the Revenge of the Green Lanterns story, it's almost entirely in space with other Lanterns.

You also neglected the crappyier Brightest Day arc currently happening.
Also GJ Writes the flash as well.
I have the entire collection from issues 1 to the most recent and rebirth.

Ah, I'm still reading through 'em. I'm just about to start the Sinestro Corps. War and I won't be reading Brightest day until the hardcover is out this summer.

Trust me, when you get to the color wars, shit gets real, real quickly, plus some really messed up color schemes. This isn't THAT much of a spoiler but you should look at this.

Ha, yeah, I've skimmed through the later issues up until Blackest Night. I don't know what the FUCK is going on at that point. I also downloaded all the GL Corps books, so I can read them together so it feels like a giant space epic.
