After scouring the site, I realized we need to make the Laws of Anime and Manga. As examples:
1. Tit size is relevant to strength. 2. Tit size is inverted to intelligence. 3. Tears work better than phoenix down marinated in penicillin. 4. The more angsty one is, the more they use dark-based attacks. 5. The bad guys are never dead for good. Ever. 6. Rule number five will remain true forever.
Feel free to add more. I decided to toss this up before hitting the hay, is all.

7. Having years of experience means nothing to the average Japanese teenager with a weapon. 8. Concepts of physics and God do not exist, only stronger people to kill 9. No matter how many time Japan is destroyed it will always rebuild. 10. Demons are as common as cats and dogs.

I call bullshit on rule 5. Several examples could be: Ruroni Kenshin, Outlaw Star, Inuyasha, and a buncha others but i am too tired to listem.

Rule five works a lot. I mean, I am more-or-less referencing anime set for younger age groups, but I do remember lots of times the villain pops back in later on. ie: Fairy Tail's rogue guild boss or whatever that got beaten up by Natsu. [Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh] Kenshin's wife's brother in Rurouni survived. Yu-Yu-Hakasho, the villains survived. That's all I got off the top of my head.

I go by the ending of the series itself. Sure he wasn't dead in kenshin, but he sure as fucking hell is now i believe. But yeah, villains do actually die.

I wish they stayed dead in more animes/mangas than they die in. :x
Rule 12: The expert warrior in the party will hardly ever be defeated. Rule 13: If the expert warrior is defeated, the enemy will be in a weak enough state for the sidekick to win. Rule 14: Teenagers tend to be results of various experiments, curses, magical sealings, etc.

15. Immortal means "find a weapon/device/Deus Ex Machina to kill me" 16. There is no such thing as 'Over Confidence' (in the Hero's case) 17. Death and Sacrifice means nothing. There is always a way to revive someone

20. No matter how bad your luck is there is always a hot girl waiting to meet you. 21. There is always a weapon more powerful than yours (villain case) 22. There is no such thing as an average life. 23. The more average you are the more likely you are to be randomly picked to save the world.

Rule 26: Hair defies the laws of physics. Rule 27: Everyone's hair is chosen by a little kid with the jumbo pack of Crayola crayons. Rule 28: For some reason, everyone holds back their true power/form until they're about to die. Rule 29: Fanservice occupies lots of panels [manga]/frames [anime].

Rule 30: One's muscle strength is not determined by size. Rule 31: Training arcs are skipped and flash backed upon in later times.
