^True. The one thing we do know is that someone is/has hacked the Gantz ball.

I've been wondering. Isn't there some sort of Gantz databank that encompasses all of the balls? After all, they are made, and they all seem to be connected (Mustache Guy's cronies were transferring people with some controls, or some crap). So wouldn't there mean there's a databank that the Hunters inside of the ship would be able to be transferred through?

I'm sure there are Gantz balls that are functional but whatever secret overshadow that controls all the balls and their purpose was hacked. First by the Tokyo businessmen and MM then by the SGA's themselves.
So as we stand we know the SGA's have near full control of the Gantz balls. Meaning that unless whoever was originally pulling the strings takes control and hacks it back. Every hunter hunter is on his own. Basically all transfers are useless, and the Gantz balls are out of commission.
And the chapter was the best one in the last 15 or so. It was the first time we were worried and had that sense of doom. Until one hunter decides to give it one last shot. If it weren't for Kaiji and his sword style everyone would be fucked.
Strange, Kurono2 and Reika both had swords when they were rescuing people ten+ chapters back. Unless they lost them, they could help Kaiji in this fight.
