An STD normally called "crabs." Makes you itch down there like crazy. Such a hard and fun challenge it would be to resist itching for like a week or so when the urge to itch is maddening.

It can be considered both.
The point of calling something an STD is to associate an abnormal condition as a primary result of sex.
Sure, sexually transmitted bug would be more accurate. However, would you not consider getting infected by a bug an "abnormal condition"?
And it is more easily spread through sex than anything, correct? So "as a primary result of sex" then.
Therefore; screw you it's an STD.
