I think we should come up with a system in order to decide exactly how many points should be assigned to our aliens. We can't exactly use the Gantz manga itself directly, but what we can take is the fact that it's really strict when deciding points. It's highly speculated that Lightning Oni was only like 50-60 points. And he was extremely strong.
So obviously we have to be really strict here.
Things like how many attacks the alien has, how well it can rip through a Gantz suit, agility, etc. should all add up. I think the limit per attribute should be 25 points.
It should be graded on this:
Attack: How many hits does it take to destroy a Gantz suit? How many attacks does it have? How many 1-hit lethal attacks does it have (to someone with a full-powered Gantz suit)? If the amount is over 5 one-shot attacks, then it should definitely be worth 25 points. Let me show you how this will work:
It takes 5 hits to destroy the Gantz suit. That's equal to five, therefore that's minus 10 points (If it were over 5 it would be minus 25).
So now we have -10 points.
It has 6 attacks. That's plus 6 points (it only gets boosted whenever it's one-shot kill attacks).
So now we have -4. It has 1 lethal attack. That's 5 points (if it's equal to 5 that's 10 points, if it's under 5 that's 5 points, if it's above 5 that's 25 points).
So, we now know that for most of its attacks, it takes around 5 hits to destroy the suit, and it has 1 attack that can destroy the suit completely.
Attack verdict: 6 points. The limit is 25.
So that's how it works, I think it would be very hard for you to get that alien over 25 points, and if you do in fact get it over 25 points, then that's completely fine. After all, 100 is simply the limit that's imposed for gaming purposes. It's only natural that not all 100 pointers are equal in strength. This isn't a mathematical formula, or anything to make it always equal 25. If you have excess points just negate them. There's four areas and each limit is 25 so it could add up to 100. If you get over 25 then just discard the extra points for that area (or add them on to the final score count, if it ends up not being a 100 pointer, actually you have to do that if it is not a 100 pointer).
Don't worry, this is going to become more easier to understand as you read along:
So basically for every area you see there should be 3 questions that produce numerical answers. If the first numerical answer is under 5, then that's negative 5 points. If it's equal to 5, that's negative 10 points. And if it's over 5 that's negative 25 points. The only time it doesn't count against them is if it's a 1 or 0.
Whatever the second numerical answer to the second question may be, that's exactly how many points it's worth. So, if the numerical answer is 7, that's positive 7 points added. All the way up to 25. It can't go over 25 points, even if the second numerical answer is 80. And the excess points don't get counted here.
If the third numerical answer is under 5, that's positive 5 points. If it's equal to 5, that's positive 10 points. And if it's anything over 5, that's positive 25 points. The only time it doesn't count for them is if it's 0, however, because that's no points.
You add up all three together, and that's your final number of points for that attribute. Keep the excess points over to the side, and add it on later if the alien isn't already worth 100 points at the final.
^ This is the formula that you use when calculating each attribute of the alien, aside from intelligence. There's 4 attributes; attack, defense, agility/speed/evasion, and intelligence. Remember, there's only going to be three questions per attribute. From there you just have to follow the formula and you're golden. Then you add up the four attributes, and any excess points that you couldn't fit because of the 25 point limit (as long as it's not from the second question). Remember to follow the questions in exact order with the formula.
Okay, here's the questions for the four attributes (I already gave attack, but I'll do it again)..
Attack:
Question 1: How many hits on average does it take to destroy the Gantz suit?
Question 2: How many different (notable) attacks does it have?
Question 3: How many one-hit kill attacks does it have (for a full working suit)?
Defense:
Question 1: How many weak points/vital areas does it have?
Question 2: How much X-gun/X-rifle shots can it take on average? How many G-sword cuts (act as if this is still question two and just add up accordingly-total limit is still 25)?
Question 3: How many H-gun shots can it take?
Speed, etc:
Question 1: How much faster is the average relatively fit Gantzer in a suit- than the alien? (2 would equal two times faster, and so on, if it's zero then the average fit Gantzer is not faster than the alien. If it's 1 that means they are about equal).
Question 2: How many X-gun/rifle shots can it dodge on average when in motion? How many G-sword slices? (Once again, think of it as one question with the 25 point limit again, but still evaluate them separately, just don't give em more than 25 points).
Question 3: How much H-gun shots could it dodge consecutively?
Intelligence: Intelligence is special as it has no questions. You can just rate its intelligence based off of the 25 point limit.
25 points would = highly intelligent and smart, more so than almost any average human. 0 points would = insect-like intelligence.
Also, if by some weird chance the alien gets a negative as its final point amount, then that just means it is worth 1 point.
There we go. I'll test out how well this works now. Just follow my lead, you'll get it.
I think it works quite well.
