The Sega Dreamcast is my favorite console and even though it didn't last long, it had tons of awesome games. Mars Matrix, Bangia-O, D2, King of Fighters, The Last Blade 2, Project Justice, Skies of Arcadia, Ikaruga, and more. It should be fairly cheap by now...especially if you buy used.
Well worth getting one even if it's older.

Oh man I still have my cast and I play it sometimes too. My favorite system tied with my Wii.
Games I still have:
Soul Calibur Crazy Taxi Sonic adventure 1&2 Seaman Capcom vs SNK 2 Mortal Kombat Gold Powerstone Fatal Fury: Mark of the Wolves Gauntlet Legends NFL Blitz 2001 and South Park Rally
God it was the best. I should play it later.

Hell yeah, I still have mine too! Black Sega Sports edition, which is apparently uncommon to find anymore.

I loved the idea of Capcom vs. SNK, but I never got use to the groove system and because of that I never unlocked any of the characters in the first game. Still was fun and rewarding, though. www.youtube.com/watch?v=lzhCa5l5AFAIkaruga. One player playing two player mode.

Oh man I've seen that game before. The blasts shot at you only hit if the colour of your ship is differant and so you have to constantly change from black and white. Quite the innovation.

Unlocking the characters was the best part. some you really wanted but the game would tease you by having them available for purchuse when you didn't have enough money. You then had to make hard choises like. Dan or bison.

Someday, I shall buy one for myself. Although beaten by the PS1, those things were wicked. I heard somewhere you could even browse the internet with them!

The Dreamcast is cheap, I'm sure, but I think it'd be hard to find nowadays, due to its age.
However, I do agree; the Sega Dreamcast did have tons of cool games and while it was out, the graphics were okay.
My favorite game, hands down, was Marvel versus Capcom 2.
