Personality: Marcus is your typical high school male in every way, shape, and form. He spends a lot of time jostling with other boys, and chasing skirts. He doesn't spend much time studying because he doesn't have the attention span to sit still for long spans of time. He constantly finds himself in detention for generally acting up, and misusing his ability. At home he's a model child. On the rare occasion his father is actually able to spend some time at home; the environment becomes comparable to militaristic training for Marcus. It is because of this strict level of home discipline that Marcus tends to act out at school which for him is a much more lax environment regardless of the trouble he gets into.
Marcus is normally fun loving and cheerful. He does cause trouble, but nothing serious. He tends to like to play hero for smaller children, however, when he finds himself in a bad situation he is not above utilizing people as shields or running away among other options to escape danger.
Background: Born in Toronto, Ontario, Marcus had always had a talent for his passion. Basketball. At the age of four Marcus exhibited a rather strange talent, he seemed to never truly fall down. When Marcus was in his Junior High years, he was discovered for his incredible talent. Playing against others his own age, Marcus completely outshone everyone else and he loved it. However, Marcus' fame for his prowess in the sport was going to be short-lived. His father had found love in a Japanese woman who had come to Canada on a business venture for her father's company to merge with his father's small computer company. The two fell in love, the first love Marcus' father had felt since Marcus' mother had passed away.
Not wanting to be the one to ruin his father's perhaps, only, new chance for love, Marcus agreed when his father questioned him about moving to a different country, a different hemisphere in fact. Marcus soon found himself in the country of Japan, with his new Step-Mother and his now, perpetually happy father. It was only when Marcus tried out for the basketball team that he discovered that, despite it's xenophobic tendencies, Japan did have one good point. Good players in the west, were fantastic players in Japan. Marcus was suddenly the center of attention, as his classmates put it "The White Guy with the great basketball skills" found himself well liked by the female population of his Junior High School.
Marcus found his Junior High years in the fantastic nation passing all to fast and now, now he was in High School. Considering how many high schools saw the fantastic potential in Marcus, he chose a rather respectable one and found out that while he was a great player, no one was into Gaijin there. Now finding himself the target for bulling, Marcus did what he knew what to do in those situations. Don't do anything. However, it appeared that Marcus' Pacifist maneuver was not working and so his studies began to suffer, but his game seemed to explode upwards in skill, speed and force.
After having extracted his change of clothes from the toilet for the fourth time for the month, Marcus found himself approached by a group of suited men who began to explain why Marcus' physical abilities had sky-rocketed all of a sudden and why his appetite had seemed to be pecking at him for so long and so hard. As Marcus laughed at the explanation of Vampires, one of the men extracted a sword from the palm of his hand to example to Marcus that he was certainly not lying. Now faced with evidence, Marcus continued to deny it until the Vampires also gave an explanation for the strange markings on his back that he had been suffering from lately.
After a month, Marcus was soon an accepted member of the Vampire community, if a bit disliked for his immaturity and the squeamish way of drinking blood. Soon enough, Marcus along with a much more experienced Vampire were selected to go and confront, and kill, if necessary, a potential Vampire Hunter.
