If you support kony 2012 maybe you should read this and then make your choice Agian the idea of kony 2012 is awesome but it might not be as it seems.... Seems a little fishy to me. www.guardian.co.uk/politics/reality-check-with-polly-curtis/2012/mar/08/kony-2012-what-s-the-story edit: had to throw that in there even though I still support the idea apparently only 30 some % is giving( as charity) and is giving to the Ugandian military(who have claims of rape and murder themselves) when Kony's terrorist group isn't even in Uganda anymore. they want military intervention to the extreme which means fighting those kids their trying to save. at the end of the day this guy needs to be stopped and all infiltration for the last like 10 years have failed. they also claim that U.S intervention will stop if they don't bring more awareness. but the truth being that there is no plan to ever remove that group of U.S advisers in Uganda as the threat still remains(considering it cost more to bring them back then to leave them here). not saying kony2012 doesn't have a good idea I feel like doing something is better than nothing and I mean all the money cant go to the charity they have to pay for film crews and worker salaries and such but the amount towards the work force salaries seems a little high considering they claim to only have a 100 workers.... still if it's legit then I'm all for it I just don't usually trust charity organizations

Lets put it this way. Its probably a huge ass scam. There are huge ass misconceptions with the whole budgeting and the rumor is that they are not working with the Better Business Bureau which basically is the go-to people for funding support.
The author of the video makes tons of money in general. Quite frankly its kinda sad since this video has no real information, nor does it have any real ground to stand on. This has been going on for several years, and only now its coming through via a fucking "self-rightous" facebook video.
I think people should just read Memoirs of a child soldier or watch the documentary "wardance". Those do justice to the topic and are actually really well done.
This is just emotion porn.

yeah they traveled everywhere around the country to high schools and colleges to bring awareness but (like most charity's) most of the stuff they do is to keep their company afloat and to keep them at there ridiculously high wages if it's legit then by all means go for it but it's always a hard thing to find actual genuine people

I don't support violent intervention, or the fact that the proceeds go to any military. Not to mention it just has fishy written all over it. Regretfully, the way it's become a fucking fashion statement sort of makes me resent it right from the get go.

The dudes actually came to my highschool when I was in 11th grade. Same but their foundation is a bunch of shit. Only 30% is actually sent to Uganda and it doesn't help change anything. Most African donations don't but the fact there's a strong movement that's a scam makes meh angry.
