The most awesome kickass JRPG is the Tales franchise (Tales of the Abyss, Tales of Vesperia, etc.) in terms of gameplay, characters, and sometimes stories. Out of all the tales games I have played, Tales of Destiny (PS2 Remake) was the best I had ever played. LAKSHDGDSKGHKLJAHLKG can't wait for Tales of VS to be released here in the states! |D AND HOPEFULLY TALES OF GRACES IS TOO *jizzes way too many times* ANY way does anyone like this franchise or just one of its games?

@kuronoYeah way better than Final Fantasy. The main characters lately are just getting more depressing. RenanSuzaku Kururugi from Code Geass? If so yeah they do look similar, but Suzaku's hair is more curlier than straight also is a darker brown and his eyes are grayish than blue.

I hate the Tales series. Then again I've only played Legendia, Abyss, and Symphonia. Symphonia's cliche's were dull, Legendia I enjoyed in the second half and the characters, and I couldn't finish Tales of the Abyss, I was far too uninterested after a while.

BaalWell everyone has their opinions, but you should or try to play Vesperia it is consider by the fans and some big time reviewers the best in the series. Legendia was a step back in the franchise considering it brought no new major battle features in the franchise where as Tales of Rebirth, Destiny 2, and Symphonia brought a three line LMBS(liner motion battle system) ,Spirit Points, and 3-D battlefield (respectively). Abyss was pretty cool, but the graphics were horriable. Aside from the frame drop rate on the world map, way to many skits, and "mindless button mashing" normal battles. It was still consider a great game. The character development was awesome and the game's dialogue and cut-scenes were fluent and smooth.

BaalWell everyone has their opinions, but you should or try to play Vesperia it is consider by the fans and some big time reviewers the best in the series. People also told me back when Vesperia was first released that Abyss was still the best game and such. I was horribly disappointed, so disappointed I still haven't finished the game nor do I plan to. Legendia was a step back in the franchise considering it brought no new major battle features in the franchise where as Tales of Rebirth, Destiny 2, and Symphonia brought a three line LMBS(liner motion battle system) ,Spirit Points, and 3-D battlefield (respectively). Like I said, the only things I liked about Legendia were the characters and the story got better in the second half. So I guess I could consider it the only Tales game I have ever actually enjoyed. Abyss was pretty cool, but the graphics were horriable. Aside from the frame drop rate on the world map, way to many skits, and "mindless button mashing" normal battles. It was still consider a great game. The character development was awesome and the game's dialogue and cut-scenes were fluent and smooth. It's a shame Luke was the main character though because that's what mainly put me off. He's a whiny little priss in the beginning and then develops into a doormat. It didn't help he was voiced by one of the worst voice actors in common English Dubbing, Yuri Lowenthal. Natalia annoyed the piss out of me, Tear was dull, and Asch needs to shut the hell up about Replica's. The villains weren't exactly compelling either, especially Van. The only characters I genuinely could stand were Anise, Jade, and Guy. The battle system for the series has always been somewhat good though, but it lacks a challenge. Anyways to each their own, if you like the Tales series then that's cool but I'm just saying I personally don't. Abyss and Legendia suck compared to Symphonia. Except Ren. He doesn't get an opinion because it usually sucks, such as in this case. Symphonia was ridden full of dull cliche's that I could see coming from a mile away. I'm surprised I even managed to finish it, maybe it was because of James Arnold Taylor or Robin voicing Lloyd, I dunno. The backtracking was god awful in that one too, OH THE BACKTRACKING!
