This, in my opinion, is the best animated movie I have ever seen. It took me a bit to warm up to it as much as I did, but it truly is a master piece. I felt that a lot of people did not get it though; the concept that both sides were good in there own way and both sides were evil in there own way.
The over all message, that hatred leads to more hatred and only through understanding can true peace be reached, seemed to go right over a lot of peoples heads.
A lot of people also felt that Princess Mononoke "Did not have enough fighting," which is absolute bull. I mean I would not say that the movie had excess fighting, but to say that it did not have enough fighting only shows that you are a poor victim of today's media culture.
Now the soundtrack, I felt, did its part very well, through you could not really say that Princess Mononoke's music is one of its strongest points. The imagination and mentally illuminating world that Princess Mononoke percents is also something I feel I should just mention...

This wa the first Ghibli movie i have seen in my life when i was 6. I loved it. The best part was when Ashitaka realizes the power of the curse arm when he fucks the bandits up with his super powered mac cannon bow and arrow.
I need to rewatch this NOW.
