well this is just a theory about maybe where the aliens come from and where they are "sent" too. bare with me as when i do something like this my thoughts jump back and forth and around the corner.
usually when an alien is sent by the y-gun, the laser is usually from what we have seen, always pointing to the moon.
maybe the aliens were created on the moon in some sort of gantz affiliated facility and sent to earth to live among humans peacefully and in secreacy and no direct contact. aliens that break some sort of laws set up by some gantz-like society that they have to live by are immeadiately chosen to be hunted down and exterminated.
that would mean the Hunters are sort of like the police officers and military of this gantz like association.
heres maybe an example of a law: no contact with humans.
the Onion Dad and Tanaka went to a store where humans go which in turn, broke a law.
But theres a hole here: the Buddhist aliens. humans visited the temple which they lived in on a daily basis. sooo...maybe that theory is thrown out the window. but maybe they broke another law somehow?
BUT ANYWAYS. during hunts, the y-guns main REAL PURPOSE is maybe to collect specimens to be re-studied then destroyed. they are captured, sent to the moon where said facility is at, examined-by examined i mean they are examined to see how being on earth affected them or something along those lines, then are disposed of.
PLZ PLZ discuss this, i want to hear everyones theories, opinions, rebuttle, what have you!

The theory holds up in most kind of Aliens. Except the Oni's were the most humanlike out of them and seemed to be used to human interaction. Like the way they act and Dress. Then we have to think about the SGA's and the katastrophe invasion. I think they're the highest technological force in the galaxy when I look at them it seems to throw your thoery out the window. Unless they are the exception.
I don't know what to think. But something tells me that whoever monitors Gantz and our Current alien invaders are the two rivals that run the show. All other aliens are the puppets along with our heroes and regular people.

Oh yeah! A few years back they did declare that Pluto isn't a planet. Didn't they just find a new one though?

I think its not that they originated from the moon, but rather, just beamed up there for study and experimentation. I also always thought that the Gantz were like a world Police force, but all aliens were completely foreign, beyond the moon. I'd think that the experimentation and studying of aliens contributes to their technological arsenal, to protect them from the soon coming invasion of those other aliens in Katastrophe.

yeah, katastrophe was a total imminant warning of what is to come, so that meant the humans had time to prepare.
My question was what was up with that german dude with the fat retarded daughter who spat out codes.

I pretty much agree with most of this. The problem (the bold), however, is the fact that it doesn't seem like the creators of Gantz cared about protecting the world at all from this invasion. If they really wanted to prepare for it, then they would have gotten trained soldiers and the like, rather than just picking at random people, and would have certainly had a strategic plan for the first day of the invasion. Nothing we have seen so far tells us that they cared. DawgX The problem with the theory is that it assumes that the main purpose of the aliens being on Earth and Gantz is so they can live there peacefully and if they get out of line then Gantz exterminates them. First, this directly contradicts a statement from one of the creators of the Gantz game himself, who stated the main purpose of Gantz is to entertain others, not for aliens to live on Earth peacefully. Second, it assumes that Gantz cares for the people, and even the aliens. This does not seem like the case. There have been many "innocent" humans who have had their lives torn apart because of this alien hunt, and even aliens who haven't really done much bad. In other words, if these laws are true, they would have to be pretty harsh. Also meaning the main purpose could not be for the aliens to live in peace. And last, why do they need Gantz hunters to kill the aliens if they break a law when they have something as powerful as the Gantz balls? They could use that to beam the aliens up as quickly as the beamed them down. Also, Dawg, about the aliens and the no human contact thing. I don't think anyone in Gantz would ever care about aliens coming into contact with humans. After all, for a good portion of the series the aliens were invisible or hidden in a "costume" that was different from how the alien looks. Meaning contact should not have been a problem at all. Not to mention Gantz can even alter memories.
