One Strength: Exceptional Physical Capabilities- Due to both long years of practice and genetic inheritance, Nijiima possess a set of talents that allow him to showcase athletic prowess at levels where it seems almost beyond the realm of possibility.This ability is such that even other vampires flounder before the might of Nijiima. The Following are explanations for why Thorson has the "power" of Above Average Physical Capabilities;
*Abnormally Powerful Cardiovascular System- has an exceptional cardiovascular system that allows him to run, jump and much more for an almost unending amount of time.
*Over-Developed Sense of Balance- Due, mostly, to a rather lucky merging of certain genetic traits, Nijiima was blessed with a superior sense of balance when compared to other human beings. Nijiima is able to keep his balance upon surfaces that would normally send men tumbling, surfaces such as the beams meant to support housing or other such places.
*Myostatin Induced Muscle Hypertrophy- Due to a slight chemical balance within his body, during his transition from normal human being to vampire, Nijiima's body began to produce copious amounts of Myostatin, which caused his muscles to grow both larger and more powerful than they would naturally. This means that, now that the Myostatin is being produced as it should naturally, he possess monstrously powerful muscles even for a vampire.
Comparison:
Strength- He has enough strength to overpower a human wearing a gantz suit without much difficulty.
Speed- He is quick enough to keep pace with a Gantz Suit Wearing Human, with some difficulty.
Reflexes- Nijiima has fast enough reflexes to dodge numerous shots from numerous angles when concentrating.
One Weakness: Due to Nijiima's attitude, he finds it difficult to the point of near impossibility to actively work as a part of a team, whether the team be made of humans or vampires.
Appearance: General: Nijiima is, for lack of a more appropriate term, a large gentlemen. Standing at just over seven feet tall, Nijiima posses a large frame that seems to draw attention wherever Nijiima goes, whether he wants it to or not. Nijiima posses large arms and a massive back with shoulders to match that seem to ripple with the potential force his muscles can exert. The muscular condition of his arms and back is mirrored onto both his torso and legs, most notably, his abdomen and his thighs, respectively. Nijiima's thighs seem almost disproportionate with Nijiima's body, almost. The hands and feet of Nijiima are large and heavily callused, with a number of the small, fleshy bumps on Nijiima's fingers and the ridges of his palms and the balls of his feet, both of them made from the hard work he always put himself through as a blacksmith. Another result of his hard work through out his occupation is his light brown skin, which is born, not of heritage, as both of his parents are notably pale, one of out sickness, the other merely because he hates the sun, Nijiima gained his coloring through his time spent outside, working hard on whatever project he had been set to. Nijiima tends to carry himself upright, his back straight, his gaze dead ahead, giving the impression of a high level of confidence.
Facial Features/Hair: Nijiima resembles his father, for the most part; with his piercing blue eyes, and short nose, most would find it difficult to tell a younger Okashiri Nagano and his son apart. The only resemblance that Nijiima holds to his mother is a beauty mark just under his right eye, the dimples she sported whenever she grinned and her strong jawline. Overall, Nijiima is not a particularly unattractive individual but he does appear to posses quite the unique facial structure. When it comes to his hair, Nijiima has taken after his father yet again. Sporting his father's dark brown follicles and straight hairline, Nijiima chooses to keep his haircut in a simplistic crew cut.
Personality:
Due to Nijiima's position as bread-winner in his household for numerous years, he has become mature beyond his years and become independent to the point of near solidity. A relatively insightful and observant young man, Nijiima tends to take note of people's negative traits more often than he takes note of their positive ones, this commonly gives him a disapproving view of other people and their actions. Nijiima tends to keep to himself, staying quiet when he feels it is unnecessary to speak and tends to disregard others unless they are directly related to himself or his objective.
Nijiima discovered early on in life that people tended to only care about themselves and those they deemed worthy enough to be under their care, as such, Nijiima has come to understand life in a fashion that is very similar to the theory of social Darwinism. This self sustaining view of life has resulted in Nijiima becoming a introvert, despite his possession of numerous traits that a natural extrovert would portray. Another pair of results of Nijiima's choice in lifestyle is his wish to be constantly free and a tendency to glare at those he believes are suspicious. A naturally forgetful man, it is not unusual for Nijiima to completely forget exactly where, and how he met a person, this also commonly extends to a lack of memory as to a person's identity. Nijiima can be seen simply cloud gazing, cleaning whatever weaponry he might have on him, or just sleeping if he find that he has extra time on his hands.
Background: Originally born with the name of Seong On Wook, the following is Okashiri Nijiima’s story;
Seong Wook was born with a rather mismatched, but still very interesting, parentage. Seong Tae Jeun, Seong Wook's future father, had been born and had grown up as a Tea farmer's son in the far east of South Korea. For most of his youth, Seong Jeun's was a very physical life. He worked hard to get a good education and worked even harder on his father's farm, intending to sell the land when his father gave it to him and utilizing the money to move to a more populated area, in hopes that he could find more profitable occupation. Sure enough, when it came time for Seong Jeun's father to retire from tea farming, the Seong Family's land was snatched up for an impressive sum of South Korea's currency, the Won. Now finding himself educated, well-off and with a world of oppurtunites before him, Seong On Jeun decided that he would move take his money and invest wisely, after moving to Seoul, South Korea's capital. Within a few years, Seong Jeun found himself living as a rich, young investor with no obligations, after having moved his parents out of their cramped little home in the far east of South Korea to a larger home in the outskirts of Seoul, just a thirty minute drive away from his Condo.
For months, Seong Jeun lived quite the exciting life, chasing after women, living the high class, trading wits with some of Korea's most established buisnessmen, truly, it was not the life one would expect from a poor tea farmer's only son. However, it seemed that staying single was not in Seong Jeun's future as he came across quite the potential mate. One day, during one of Seong Jeun's many trips to a sporting event in Korea, he came across the Professional Ping Pong Player, Nageshima Tenma. Even covered with sweat and exhausted from her latest display of skill, Seong Jeun had to admit, the woman was stunningly beautiful, so beautiful, in fact, that Seong Jeun could not help but ask her out. Though she refused at first, Seong Jeun would not be denied, and his dimpled grin, almost startling calm and collected demeanor made sure that within minutes, they had a date planned. Seong Jeun knew that it would be a problem when his publicists caught word of his interest in the Japanese Native, but he had ignored that, despite knowing it would cause quite an uproar for the tabloids, who always seemed, even in Korea, to be willing to pull their stars up, or completely knock them down, whether they be successful, twenty-two year old investors, who went from rags to riches, or Japanese Ping Pong World Travelers.
Tenma was a bit of a controversy in her homeland of Japan, many believing that she was simply paid by the government to represent them, though that was not the truth. The truth, which Seong Jeun would later learn when they were married, was that Tenma was born of a pair of immigrants from Germany, so her possession of blond hair and blue eyes was not that spectacular a rarity, especially when one considered that boy her parents possessed such traits themselves. So, when one combined the idea that the Japanese Ping Pong Prodigy had taken an interest in the very wealthy and charming Seong On Jeun, it was easy to see why the media would lap the news up. And lap it up the media did, doing everything they could to get as much dirt on both of the well known man and woman they could, making sure that there was barely any place for any amount of time the two could truly stop being who they had presented when they had first been in the limelight. But, despite all that ailed their relation ship, Seong Jeun's and Tenma's was a whirlwind passion. Within half a year, the two were married, though it was kept quiet, so as to make sure there would be gate-crashers at their wedding.
Roughly a year after the ceremony, Seong Jeun and Tenma discovered that she was pregnant. Seven months later, for they only learned Tenma was pregnant after two months, Tenma gave birth to Seong On Wook. Who seemed to have taken after his mother when it came to looks. As she watched her newborn baby gurgle and giggle in her presence, Seong Tenma decided that she would retire from ping pong playing and instead, dedicate her life to raising her son as best she could. During his childhood, Seong On Wook was quite attached to his mother, so much so that calling her the center of his world would not be an overstatement. She told him stories of her career as a Ping Pong Player, exaggerating or downplaying certain events to make the stories more exciting or interesting. Obsessed with the prospect of playing ping pong, like his mother did, Seong On Wook decided that he would play against others his own age. Within two weeks time Seong Wook's lack of natural talent for the sport was well-known to many who lived in his neighborhood and even some who did not. Challenges came one after the other for the ten year old youth, and he never backed down, determined to make up for his lack of ability with sheer hard work. A flawed plan, but rather logical assuming he knew that he had no confidence in his talent.
Strangely enough, Seong Wook's plan did not work very well. Despite his best efforts, and his parents endless support, Seong Wook's less than stellar record as a ping pong player continued into the Korean equivalent of Junior High School, wherein, his parents explained that they were moving. Despite having many acquaintances, Seong Wook had no close friends and the idea of a move was not a bad one, however, once he heard it was to his mother's native country of Japan, he was more than a bit apprehensive.
Walking through the streets of the small town, determined to commit the layout of the city to memory, Seong Wook never noticed the strangely black-clothed individuals who followed him. However, once Seong On Wook discovered that he was sufficently lost, he was approached by one of the one, who told him he was going to become one of them very soon, though he did not specify who exactly he was referring to when he said “them”. One Month later, Seong On Wook and his parents discovered that he was going through a huge growth spurt and his physical abilities were sky-rocketing to almost superhuman levels. It was around the time that people began to wonder if he was some kind of monster that Seong On Wook convinced his parents to homeschool him. However, never ones to pass up a chance to invite new members to their community, the vampires of Osaka captured Seong On Wook and began to convince him that he was more vampire than human, and as such, should quit trying to be human. Seong On Wook, forever the outcast, grew to accept this as the truth and left home to become Okashiri Nijiima, due to the vampire’s crack team of hackers and illegitimate Identity falsifiers. As Okashiri Nijiima, he began Okashiri Enterprises, and went on to utilize his abilities to become the leader of the Osaka Vampires, though it took almost twenty years of steady work put in as a vampire of the Osaka Region.
