Superb chapter. Kudos to Oku for bringing back that old Gantz feel from the earlier chapters, (imo). 342

*Read the chapter before reading* Didn't really like Nishi pulling an Izumi mainly because A; it's already happened before (Izumi), and B; at least Izumi had some kind of positive connection to his girlfriend. Nishi literally just had a fight with the kid. Shit like 360 degree instinctive turn arounds rarely ever happen especially when it comes to uncaring people like Izumi and Nishi, and Oku made them BOTH do it. Nishi saving him because Kaze would have killed him would have been a way better excuse. And most of all, it would have been something different. Also, if Takeshi would have actually died there it would have felt like old Gantz for me. Oh, well. I swear if Nishi dies doing something good...

Nishi literally just had a fight with the kid. Shit like 360 degree instinctive turn arounds rarely ever happen especially when it comes to uncaring people like Izumi and Nishi, and Oku made them BOTH do it. But look you can obviously see that Nishi was hella confused by his own actions. He said about 3 trillion times "What the hell is wrong with me?" I think it was his conscience that saved Takeshi because Nishi obviously has one. I mean he saved Katou from Nurarihyon, we all know that, but he was like "Tch, I just wanted the points." when he could have easily killed Katou along with Nuri.

lol. I never said Nishi didn't have a conscious. But clearly he didn't know about it/it didn't show itself/it didn't exist until just now. Same with Izumi.
That doesn't change the fact that I don't like it.
The problem with saying that Nishi spared Katou is that he would have had to do it consciously. Clearly his attack on Nuri was predetermined. And it was NOT an instinctive action (like with Izumi saving his girl and with Nishi saving Takeshi). Basically meaning that Nishi consciously thought "you know what, I'm going to save Katou." Yeah, that would actually be less believable than Nishi dying to save someone instinctively would be. Plus, if he did consciously think that, then that means he wouldn't really be surprised right now at how he instinctively saved Takeshi. And it should also be noted that he shot without any warning at Katou/Anzu/Nuri's left overs afterword. ANY warning.
Edit: Just so we're clear I'm not saying it's stupid. I just simply don't have a favorable preference toward it. It = Crazy people suddenly doing something good instinctively.

First off, I don't think that would have happened, and I don't thnk that was the reason why he saved him. He just had a "weak" moment, that's all. Also, you still need to work on your grammar.

the thing that made me laugh was the fact that it showed Nishi holding something for like three pages but never showed what it was for a bit would have been funny if it was gantz instead

This is actually one of my favorite chapters. Nishi is one of my favorite characters, and I honestly do think that saving Takeshi was within character. Furthermore, I think one of the things that makes his little rescue so funny and so interesting is that he didn't KNOW it was in character for him. In this case, the readers know more about Nishi than he knows about himself. That's called "dramatic irony," and that's cool.
