^ Kinda. Here's a description of it from teh wiki: "an ongoing manga by Takehiko Inoue, portraying a fictionalized account of Miyamoto Musashi's life, on a loose adaptation of Eiji Yoshikawa's novel Musashi." Here's a little description on Miyamoto Musashi: "also known as Shinmen Takezô, Miyamoto Bennosuke, or by his Buddhist name Niten Dôraku, was a Japanese swordsman famed for his duels and distinctive style. Musashi, as he was often simply known, became renowned through stories of his excellent swordsmanship in numerous duels, even from a very young age." So it is basically about this fucking bad ass swordsman's life. And his passage from when he first started out, to when he becomes famous and awesome. I started the first 10 chapters a while back, and put it on hold. Very soon I shall start the manga again. I'm sure I'll like it, it is a Seinen after all, and people relate it to Berserk all the time. Plus in the beginning they already have people dying and soon after, sex. Besides, I would love to see the character development of this man, and how his philosophies change as he slaughters and wins more and more. Not to mention this is based off a true person. Oh, and just for kicks, I'll post the definition of vagabond: "A vagabond is an itinerant person. Such people may be called drifters, tramps, rogues, or hobos. A vagabond is characterized by almost continuous traveling, lacking a fixed home, temporary abode, or permanent residence." And last, this is a picture of the main character by Volume 21: As you can see, he becomes really cool looking. I'll be back after I start reading it and catch up to the newest chapter. Till then.

I love Miyamoto Musashi but this was just overly fictionalized.
Miyamoto Musashi was one man who could defeat his opponent with just two wooden swords.
He also wrote the swordsman book "Book of five rings" and i know the basics of his hailed niten ryu two sword style.

Well, I read it, and I wasn't too disappointed. It's an interesting read. Great artwork, and good character development for Sasaki Kojiro, Masashi's "rival."
Not to mention I loved the 80 men slaughter scene.
It's my 8th favorite manga. ^_^
I won't say any of the criticisms I have for it. I'm too lazy.
